We are thrilled to be partnering with our Equine and Farm team to offer our first ever Farm Squad Camp during the week of April 25-April 29^th! Open to children ages 8-13, our Farm Squad Campers will help with the daily responsibilities of farm and barn work here at the NHSPCA, while learning about the care of common farm animals like horses, pigs, and goats! Get ready to roll up your sleeves during this hands-on interactive experience!

Our Farm Squad will meet the full week of April Vacation, from 9:00 am through 3:00 pm on Monday through Thursday and from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday. This week of camp will include participation in daily farm chores like cleaning barn stalls and paddocks, feeding and grooming animals; but will also include creating fun enrichment treats, learning how to care for farm animals, help with planting and maintenance of our Children’s Garden (which grows vegetables and herbs for animals in our care), and the possibility of riding a horse! Weather permitting, we will be involved in the all the activities that our Equine and Farm team is responsible for each day! If you’ve ever wondered what goes into caring for the adoptable farm animals here at the NHSPCA (or if your child has ever begged for a pony for their birthday), this is a terrific learning opportunity! Participants should expect to be outdoors and engaging in at least some physical activity, like shoveling, sweeping, raking, etc., each day of camp. If your child would not enjoy a hands-on experience of this nature or has medical or physical limitations that would prevent them from participating, then we do not recommend our Farm Squad Camp.

In addition to our required closed toe footwear, we highly recommend your child bring a pair of boots to wear while engaging in farm activities throughout the week

Refund/cancellation policy: It is not the NHSPCA’s policy to give refunds for cancellations. For events postponed due to illness or inclement weather, we will make all attempts to reschedule or provide a credit to use toward future programming. 

Waiver: I recognize that in conjunction with my child’s attendance at the New Hampshire Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NHSPCA), my child will be in contact with and may be allowed to hold and pet animals. I understand that despite all precautions made, there is a chance that my child may contract a disease or illness by handling the animals. I further understand that there is a chance that my child may sustain a scratch or bite while handling animals. I understand that the above is illustrative of the types of risks involved in participating in programs at the NHSPCA, but is in no way a complete list of possible risks. By checking the YES box when registering, I do hereby absolutely and unconditionally release and discharge the NHSPCA, including its employees, successors, assigns, directors, officers and agents from and against any and all claims, obligations and liabilities of any nature relating to or arising out of my child’s participation with the NHSPCA camp program.  I certify that I am the registered child’s legal parent or legal guardian.  

Photo Release: I authorize the NHSPCA to use photos of my child engaging in program activities for media and marketing purposes.
