9 month old Bill (formerly known as Jesse) arrived at the New Hampshire SPCA from an overcrowded shelter in South Carolina. He had been brought to the shelter as a stray who had been hit by a car, and his right hind leg was badly damaged. It was decided that it would be in Bill’s best interest to amputate the leg. Bill’s left leg was also broken in the accident and had to be put in a splint.
When Bill arrived in New Hampshire, he received x-rays on his left leg to ensure it was healing properly. He required further rehabilitation and was eventually cleared for adoption.
Bill was soon adopted and now lives in a loving home. He has adjusted well to life on three legs, and can go up and down a few steps and jump up onto the couch unassisted. His new family says he loves to play and enjoys hanging out at the office with his mom while she works.
Thanks to our friend Psychic Medium John Holland and the Koda fund, Bill was able to receive critically necessary medical treatment to ensure that he could find a forever home as soon as possible.
