Deck the Howls
- This event has passed.
December 14, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:45 pm
$20.00The NHSPCA is excited to welcome guests back once again for our favorite winter event, Deck the Howls! Each year, many animal shelters across the United States host Deck the Howls events to help spread joy to homeless animals and to shine a light on the lifesaving efforts of organizations like the NHSPCA.
Children ages 6-12 are invited to join us on Wednesday December 14, 2022, from 5:30-7:45 pm for a special opportunity to read our shelter pets a bedtime story! In addition to providing the animals with some companionship and holiday cheer, children will create a festive holiday decoration for the animals’ kennels and will spend some time making special enrichment toys for the animals in our care! They will also make some tasty treats that they can take home for themselves!
Wear some howliday PJs (or any comfy jammies!) and closed-toe shoes and bring your favorite story to share with the animals. Don’t have a favorite? Don’t worry, we’ll have books you can borrow!
COST: $20 per child
Due to the size of our indoor spaces, we recommend parents either drop their children off or limit adult visitors to one per family. We want to make sure the kids and staff have plenty of room to comfortably move around and that our animals don’t get overwhelmed! Please note, if you do choose to stay, you may be asked to wait in the lobby for portions of the event.
Booking and Refund Policy
Spaces for this event fill up quickly, so register early! It is not the NHSPCA’s policy to give refunds for cancellations. In the case that the event must be cancelled due to inclement weather, we will offer a credit to use toward future programming. Once you have submitted the registration form, a member of our staff will reach out to confirm your registration and provide additional information.
