Save lives with every step at this favorite, dog-friendly event.

STRATHAM, NH, May 30, 2022 – This Sunday, June 5, the New Hampshire SPCA is calling on pet lovers to become pet lifesavers at Paws Walk at Stratham Hill Park.  Presented by Top Dog Sponsors Alternative Balance, Walmart, and Cool Cat Sponsor, International Cars, LTD., Paws Walk is more than just a fun day in the park. It’s one of the NHSPCA’s most critical fundraisers and directly helps thousands of animals each year.  With less than a week left until event day, your support can make all the difference and help this lifesaving event reach its fundraising goal to provide safety, nourishment, critical medical care, and a second chance for homeless and helpless animals.

The day’s festivities kick off at 10 am, with the one-mile fundraising walk at noon. Paws Walk features a Vendor Village with local businesses selling goodies for you and your pets, plus food trucks, games, and more.  There will be dog agility demonstrations from the New England Agility Team and an interactive herding dog show by Heart Stone Farm.  Guests will get the chance to meet some adorable, adoptable dogs during the Dogs on the Catwalk segment, and kids can enjoy a fun craft or adopt a new stuffed animal pet from the Humane Education booth.

Music will be provided all day long by DJ Ron Reid of Sounds Spectrum and, of course, a dear friend of the animals, Kelly Brown of iHeartMedia’s The Morning Buzz will be on hand as Master of Ceremonies.

It’s not too late to make a difference! Register for Paws Walk in advance at nhspca.org or directly at the park on June 5. Whether you plan to walk as an individual or with a team, your participation will help the NHSPCA continue to save the lives of homeless animals with nowhere else to go. All walkers who raise $100 will be entered to win a beautiful wine and chocolate gift basket donated by Barbara Lyden.

Additionally, anyone can enter the Paws Walk raffle for a chance to win a vacation to Mexico, Red Sox Tickets, a deluxe gas grill, or an Allen Wayside Furniture shopping spree. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the park or online at https://give.classy.org/PawsWalkRaffle2022.

“Paws Walk is a favorite for so many because it’s great fun and gives our community the chance to directly support a worthy cause,” said Sheila Ryan, Director of Development and Marketing for the New Hampshire SPCA.  “We are so excited to be back at Stratham Hill Park for a full-scale Paws Walk celebration.  This event is about people – and their dogs, of course! – coming together to support the mission of the NHSPCA.  It is truly a great day with an important purpose… to save the lives of homeless and helpless animals.”
