Meet Caesar!
Caesar is a handsome 1-year-old shepherd mix in search of a loving home. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Texas and transferred to the NHSPCA in February. Although he was sick with kennel cough for a while, he has now recovered and was finally put up for adoption last week. Despite being more than a year old, Caesar still has that puppy energy. He loves to zip around our playpen, chasing after balls and running wild while carrying toys in his mouth.
He is a very smart boy who has already mastered the “sit” and “wait” commands and is always looking to learn more tricks in exchange for treats, of course. Caesar does this funny little thing when commanded to “sit” where he sticks one leg far out to the side, kind of like a chicken wing. He will need an active family that will exercise both his body and mind so that he can live up to his full potential.
Caesar is a very affectionate, gentle guy who loves people and thrives when he is getting attention from his human friends. He previously lived in a foster home with cats and did well with them, although some of the cats weren’t crazy about his puppyish manners. He has never lived with children or dogs before, so an introduction would be best.
