We now offer specific programs that meet all or most of the requirements for many of the common animal-related badges for both girl scouts and boy scouts. These programs are offered on Tuesday evenings from 4:30pm – 6pm and require prior registration. Please let us know if you cannot make this time and we are happy to work with you to find a time and date that can meet your needs.
We can help your troop with the following badges:
- Brownie level – Pets Badge – learn about the needs of different pets, how to be a responsible pet owner, and how to choose the pet that is right for you.
- Cadette level – Animal Helpers Badge – learn about the relationships between humans and animals, as well as roles of animals as helpers in human lives, such as working animals.
- Senior level – Voice for Animals Badge – learn about common issues in animal advocacy and animal rights.
- Dog Care Merit Badge – learn about a variety of dog breeds, how to be a responsible pet owner, how to decide what breed of dog might be best for your family, and what is required to do some basic obedience training with a dog.
Currently, we can accommodate groups of up to 12 scouts and one troop leader. Once you have submitted the registration form, a member of our staff will reach soon to schedule your visit and for payment.
Refund/cancellation policy: It is not the NHSPCA’s policy to give refunds for cancellations. For events postponed due to illness or inclement weather, we will make all attempts to reschedule or provide a credit to use toward future programming.

I further understand that there is a chance that my child may sustain a scratch or bite while handling animals.
